Ten days over a year since its last update (April 1, 2010), the popular free audio-editor Audacity has been updated with a new beta release, bringing it to version 1.3.13. The update brings a whole list of changes and improvements. Most notable are full Windows 7 compatibility, improved Noise Removal, and a simple installer for OS X.
Regardless of how you use Audacity, I have always advised everyone to use the 1.3 beta line for its stability and improved features and Audacity 1.3.13 is no exception.
Nice. I like it better that it isn't April Fools day for the release date. That always made me look twice at the 1.3.12 release. 🙂
Let's just hope it won't be another year before the next release, or ten years before Audacity 2.0.
I am struggling with a ION tape express trying to transfer tapes to CD I have thr audacity software guide from ION but this is for a turntable and does not work with Windows 7 and tapes.
