I was excited to receive my first professional mixer board for podcasting. I had immediately set it up and went about to connect things. Then I discovered what anyone with a mixer knows: you need a bunch of extra adapters.
These adapters may be for changing cable genders, switching stereo to mono, extending a cable, or adapting one kind of plug into another.
I now get all of my audio adapters from Monoprice.com (not an affiliate link, but I wish it was!). They're inexpensive but very high quality.
If you're buying a mixer, spend an extra $20–$30 to get an adapter for every jack your mixer has. You won't regret it.
